vintage french linen canvas large beach market tote bag - nalu
This print was inspired by the waves rolling in from all direction out here in the middle of the Pacific where the surf is generally up somewhere along the coast... The Nalu Bag begins with sturdy, nearly indestructible (as all good materials were made in the past) dismantled vintage French linen canvas, very heavyweight & ready, willing & able to handle A LOT that life hands you.... To this wonderful blank canvas, waves roll in having traveled sometimes thousands of miles riding the ocean energy to give us a spectacular show, especially here during the winter months on the North Shore ~ the image is hand stamped using non toxic, eco-friendly textile paint. Handles are made of hand cut vegetable dyed leather & secured using sturdy sea foam blue Irish waxed linen thread. An antique brass snap (US made) attached to each side of the bag gives you the option to keep things closed up & also gives the bag a unique shape. One generous pocket inside keeps your phone, wallet, keys handy for easy retrieval. Hand stitched details throughout. This bag will travel well & keep good company whether you need to bring a couple of change of clothes & essentials for a weekend road trip, doing a farmers market run & loaded up with veggies & fruits (she loves veggies & fruits...) or heading to the beach with friends & family? She'll carry those towels & books & lotions & hats & iPods & speakers & snacks &.... Well, you get the idea, she's very generous with her space... If she's in need of a bath, I recommend hand washing only by gently soaking her in a sink using shampoo or mild bio-degradable detergent, rinsed & dried naturally in the sun (please keep the handle portion out of the water by draping outside along the sink).
